Retatrutide (GLP-1/GIP/glucagon receptor tri-agonist) — sold at Prax Peptides as Reta GLP-3R — represents one of the most advanced multi-receptor peptide compounds currently under preclinical and clinical investigation. Its mechanism of simultaneously engaging three incretin-related receptors makes dosing precision especially critical.
This guide covers reconstitution, dosage calculation, and storage for Reta GLP-3R, with direct links to our free peptide dosage calculator for exact draw volumes.
What Is Reta GLP-3R (Retatrutide)?
Retatrutide is a unimolecular triple agonist that activates receptors for GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1), GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide), and glucagon. It is currently one of the most potent investigational compounds for metabolic research. Prax Peptides offers Reta GLP-3R in 20mg vials with verified purity.

Reta GLP-3R is supplied as a lyophilized powder. Reconstitute as follows:
- Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening
- Add 2mL of bacteriostatic water for a 20mg vial (yields 10,000mcg/mL concentration)
- Inject BAC water slowly along the vial wall — do not aim at the powder cake
- Swirl gently for 60 seconds until fully dissolved
- The solution should be clear to slightly yellow — do not use if cloudy or particulate
Reta GLP-3R Dosage Calculations
With a 20mg vial reconstituted in 2mL BAC water (10,000mcg/mL):
| Research Dose | Draw Volume | Syringe Units (U-100) |
|---|---|---|
| 1mg (1,000mcg) | 0.1mL | 10 units |
| 2mg (2,000mcg) | 0.2mL | 20 units |
| 4mg (4,000mcg) | 0.4mL | 40 units |
| 8mg (8,000mcg) | 0.8mL | 80 units |

Administration Frequency
In published Phase 2 clinical research on retatrutide, dosing intervals of once weekly (QW) subcutaneous injection have been used. Due to the compound’s longer half-life compared to earlier GLP-1 compounds, less frequent dosing produces more stable plasma concentrations.
Storage Guidelines
- Unreconstituted: -20°C long-term, 2–8°C short-term (up to 3 months)
- Reconstituted: 2–8°C refrigeration, use within 28 days
- Do not freeze after reconstitution
