This guide summarizes three research peptides — Selank, Cerebrolysin and Adamax — used as tools in neuropeptide signaling and neurotrophic-pathway research. For laboratory reference only.

Selank

Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide analog of the endogenous immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin. In preclinical neuroscience models it is studied for neuromodulatory signaling, including interactions reported with monoamine and BDNF-related pathways.

Cerebrolysin

Cerebrolysin is a peptide-based preparation of low-molecular-weight neuropeptides and amino acids studied in model systems for neurotrophic signaling — that is, pathways overlapping with endogenous neurotrophic factors that govern neuronal survival and differentiation in vitro.

Adamax

Adamax is a synthetic neuropeptide research compound used to probe neuropeptide receptor signaling in laboratory models.

Research context

These compounds serve as mechanistic probes of neuropeptide and neurotrophic signaling pathways. Reported results are model-system observations and are not indicators of any human outcome.

Laboratory handling & reconstitution

Lyophilized peptide is solubilized by adding bacteriostatic or sterile water slowly along the vial wall and swirling gently. Lyophilized material is stored at −20 °C protected from light; solubilized material is held at 2–8 °C for short-term laboratory use, avoiding repeated freeze–thaw. See the reconstitution calculator for solvent-to-concentration reference.

Analytical characterization

Research-grade reference material should carry a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis: reverse-phase HPLC for chromatographic purity, mass spectrometry confirming molecular identity, and the name of the independent testing laboratory. Batch documentation is published on our Lab Reports page.

Research applications

Applications include neurotrophic-factor and BDNF pathway assays, receptor-signaling studies, and comparative neuropeptide pharmacology.
